On this morning
Carbis Bay Beach - 4:20am
As soon as I stepped onto the beach this morning the light that had been pouring through the clouds disappeared and I was surrounded by darkness. I headed to the far end of the beach and waited for the sky to lighten up.
Twenty minutes later at about 4:40am, I was ready to start taking photos, but no sooner had I taken the lens cap off, the rain began to fall from the sky. It was strong, hazy rain that I had to battle through, trying to keep the camera as dry as possible, and most importantly the lens clean as I took the photos.
Luckily the waves curled beautifully and frequently enough for me to get some great shots. The rain did not let up and at times visibility was extremely poor. I was glad to eventually get off the beach and into the dry.
