On this morning
A 7.2 metre tide this morning, one of the highest I've seen for a long time. With an easterly wind blowing in, I decided to go down to the back of St Ives Island. It was here that I caught some lovely dawn images on long exposure. I must admit, since I've been a photographer for "The Day That", these photographs from this morning have to be in my best top 10. I love the way the movement in the sea has been captured as it rushes of the rocks.
A perfect gift !
Today in 1936 The Spitfire made its first test flight from Eastleigh, Southampton, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine.
