On this morning
A quiet, clear morning and a chance to get on Porth Kidney sands offered a great opportunity for some lovely shots. The tide was far enough out as I clambered over the last few rocks onto the sand that there was a wonderful reflection on the wet beach to work with. Pinks and oranges graded up through pale yellows to turn into deepening blues until you hit the last of the night sky right overhead. The light grew steadily and gentle waves began to wash round my feet as sunrise approached until finally the sun appeared and a beautiful light bathed the sands in front of me.
Birthdays today include Mickey Spillane, Yuri Gagarin and Bobby Fischer.
