About This Day
Carbis Bay Beach
The sky stayed dark for what seemed like a long time, I do not think I arrived any earlier than I normally would, but it was so dark I found myself waiting around a bit for the dawn to approach, so I could use a shutter speed more appropriate for capturing the feathery movement of the white water.
The sky was thick with clouds that combined blues and greys, and the tide was a little messy. Small, quick breaking waves meant that timing was so important to get the best pictures. There were hints of colour toward the end of the dawn, I had to move up and down the beach trying to find spots of clear sand and clear water which I just about managed for the final few pictures.
