About This Day
Location - Carbis Bay Beach
Sunrise - 5:58am - Wednesday 7th August 2019
A lovely dawn today despite the heavy cloud and rain when I arrived at the beach. There was however a large band of clear sky on the horizon allowing an orange glow to come through similar to yesterday.
The orange glow and sunrise was reflecting beautifully across the water and wet sand. High contrasts today with the bright light versus the dark clouds, but a very lovely morning with some wonderful colours on display.
The tide was so low it even revealed the famous remains of the SS Vulture which was wrecked in 1893 during the ‘Cintra Gale’ which also wrecked 3 other boats locally.
